AJ Dysick

Founder | Mentor

In 2020, I graduated with a music degree and a clear understanding of what I didn't want: a career without autonomy or wealth-building potential. My journey began in direct sales, where I discovered my passion for building strong organizational cultures and developing people.

By 2021, I had entered corporate operations management. Within two years, I became the youngest operations manager in my region, setting performance records and launching new locations. My rapid advancement came from an obsession with understanding systems, developing people, and optimizing processes.

Throughout my corporate career, I've:

  • Transformed underperforming teams into record-setting operations
  • Developed multiple managers and leaders across three organizations
  • Managed complex projects while reducing costs and improving culture

Leadership Principles

My approach to leadership and mentoring was shaped by two contrasting experiences. In sales, I learned that great mentors are great people first. In corporate management, I discovered that while anyone can become a manager, true leaders are rare. These experiences crystallized my philosophy: be hard on results but soft on people.

This dual perspective - understanding both corporate systems and human development - forms the foundation of my mentoring approach. I believe in leading with data while maintaining empathy, creating space for controlled failure while demanding excellence.

Current Focus

As founder of The Young Professional, I'm dedicated to helping others navigate the corporate landscape without sacrificing their health, relationships, or personal growth. I believe that understanding financial reality is the first step toward freedom - money buys time, and time enables growth.

My role combines strategic leadership, team building, and direct mentoring. I focus on creating scalable systems that maintain the personal touch that made our initial mentoring programs successful.

Beyond the Office

My experience as a zip line guide taught me invaluable lessons about trust, community, and the importance of life beyond corporate metrics. This perspective influences everything I do at TYP, reminding me and our mentees that success isn't just about climbing the corporate ladder - it's about building a life worth living.
